Our Studio Policy

Each school year consists of 33 weeks of regular lessons (in-person or online).   

Registration Fee:  

A $30.00 registration fee is required before a child's name is added to a class roster.   

Tuition Payment Options:  

Please contact me for the current tuition rate.   No quarter or Sibling Discount.  

•  Quarterly :  Two payments per quarter
•  Monthly:   Nine equal payments from September through May.  

Please make your tuition payment  by the 10th of the month or add a  $10.00 late fee to any payment made later than the 10th of the month.

Recital fee: 

There will be separate fees for each recital to cover facility rental and  recital supplies.    There are two recitals per school year.   

Teacher is not obligated to make up or reschedule lessons missed by the student or parents.  Only lessons missed by the teacher will be rescheduled or made up  during "Make up weeks" 

"Make-up weeks"  are added  in the studio calendar in addition to the 33 -weeks session days to accommodate missed sessions (see studio calendar)  There will be no regular lesson during that week.  Teacher will schedule make up sessions according to the following priory;

• sessions missed by teacher 
• sessions students missed due to sickness (that can not switch to meet  online)   or student's family emergency.   

Other approved missed sessions will take lesser priority.  Canceled make-up session can not be made up or carried over.    Teacher will not be held responsible to open other new slot custom to any particular family schedule nor schedule more make up sessions beyond the end of school year.   

 It is not guaranteed that  all missed sessions can be rescheduled nor exchanged and teacher will not be held responsible for the time missed on the family's end. 

Teacher will not  make up or reschedule unacceptable missed sessions  such as 

• No show (Family forgot or was too busy to come)
• Multiple sports practices or game days conflicts/school events. 
• Mild sickness that can switch to an online session. 

All families registered in this studio will agree to switch to online session at teacher's discretion in the following circumstances; 

• snow day 
• possible transmitting illness
• exposure to covid 

Photos, videos, and audio recordings of student classes and performances may be posted online and used by the instructor for promotional and workshop materials.  Identifying information will be excluded or limited to first names only. Parents wishing to exempt their students from any published media may do so by providing a written exclusion request by emailing me directly.

Two weeks written notice is required for withdrawal during the school year. Tuition will be prorated. Material fee and registration fees are non-refundable.    

I reserve the right to discontinue lessons in the following circumstances:  consistent late payments,  excessive absences, failure to abide by studio policy, and inappropriate or disrespectful behavior towards me or my home.   

Students should be dropped off and picked up on time.  I have mostly back-to-back sessions and will not be able to provide appropriate supervision once the session has ended.  

Students should arrive with 

• clean hands - please remind your younger child to not pick noses or put hands in mount during session time.   
• nails trimmed  
• music books in a bag.    
• a notebook for teacher to write assignments. 

Bathroom Use:    limited bathroom use is recommended to maximize classroom session time.   

Health Safety Policy: 

• have clean hands and fingers on the piano keyboard at all times.  
• medical grade Mask - is required during colder weather when I can not open a window.   Students should wear mask to cover his/her nose.
• switch to online session if a student is ill.
